Life is Mad but Art Is Pure – Reading Qi Sha’s Landscape Oil Painting

ABSTRACT
This paper makes a comparative and historical study of the landscape painting works of the early Chinese oil painter Qi Sha, the heir to European New Realistic Painting School. In this way, this paper divides Qi Sha’s landscape oil painting into different stages of his artistic life, and investigates the underlying reasons for his masterpieces’ fascinating beauty behind his familiarity with western traditional painting techniques and multi-genre painting concepts.
